Level up as you play
Every save earns XP: more for long runs, S ranks and a properly written journal. Watch your level climb from bronze to legendary.
The game journal
Every game you finish deserves more than an achievement pop-up. Rate it on a stat sheet, write down the boss that nearly broke you, and keep it as a save file on your memory card.
How it works
Search all of Steam, or add a console exclusive by hand. Park it on your backlog or mark it as playing.
Gameplay, world, challenge, pull, look and sound, ten blocks each. You get a score out of 10 and a rank from S to E.
Write the moment it clicked and the boss that broke you. The game takes a block on this year's memory card.
Every save earns XP. Unlock twenty achievements, climb the levels and show your best ranks on your profile.

You rate six stats from 1 to 10: gameplay, world and story, challenge, pull, look and sound. GameChapters weighs them (gameplay counts most) and turns the result into a score out of 10 and a rank from S to E. Stats you skip do not count against the game.
Your journal is laid out like a console memory card: one card per year with fifteen blocks, and every game you finish takes a block as a save file with its rank stamped on it.
Every save file earns XP, more for long runs, S ranks and a fully written journal. XP raises your level. Twenty achievements unlock as you play, from Press Start to Touch Grass.
Other signed-in players can find you by player name and read your save files, unless you tick "Keep my library private" on your profile. Visitors without an account see nothing of yours.
